SEPTEMBER, 2009

    September 30 (Wed): Islamic School starting from Wednesday, Sept 30 at Danbury Masjid. The registration will being at 5pm at the Masjid. Regular school schedule will follow afterwards. Inshallah.

    September 19 (Sat): Based on actual moon sighting in the USA, First day of Shawal will be on Sunday, Sep 20 or Monday Sep 21. Eid ul Fitr prayer will be at 9:30am at Danbury Plaza Hotel. Please check this site at 11:00PM for latest hilal sighting announcement.

    September 10 (Thu): First Monthly Youth Boys Gathering. All middle school, highschool, and college students are invited. After Asr prayers at 5:45pm to Maghrib. InshaAllah. Exceptional Iftaar will be served.

AUGUST, 2009

    July 3 (Fri): There will be no morning Summer School classes on Friday. Please observe regular Friday Islamic School Schedule (7pm-930pm). Also, there will be no Summer School classes this Monday, July 6th. Please see events calendar for details.

JUNE, 2009

    June 20 & 21, 2009 (Sat & Sun): "Gateway to Jannah". A series of lectures with the aim to provide sound knowledge applicable to our daily lives and vital for the attaining of Supreme Contentment. Keynote speaker: Shaykh Ibrahim Memon Madani. For details, see Program Flyer and Program Schedule.

MAY, 2009

    MAY 21, 2009: On Thursday May 21, 2009 and Friday May 22, 2009 we will be holding Parent Teacher Meetings at Danbury Masjid during regular class timings. Progress of the children and upcoming programs will be discussed.

On these two days, there will be NO CLASS.

    Eid Ul Adha, 2008: Based on Shariah Board of America decision, Nov 29 is 1st Zul Hijjah. InshaAllah Eid Ul Adha will be on Monday December 8, 2008.     Eid Ul Adha, 2008: ISWC will be having a Qurbani of Goats, Lambs, and Cows on the day of Eid Ul Adha. The meat will be delivered clean, cut, bagged, and ready for pickup the next day. InshaAllah. Click here for qurbani details and booking.

    November 23, 2008 (Sun): Monthly Ijtima at Danbury Masjid. After Maghrib Salat at 5:00pm. Qari Mohammad Asil Khan will be the speaker. Snacks will be served after the program.

    October 26, 2008 (Sun): Monthly Ijtima at Danbury Masjid. After Maghrib Salat at 6:30pm. Maulana Imtiaz will speak on the topic of 'Hajj and our obligations'. Followed by Questions/Answers session. Snacks will be served after the program.

    Ramadan, 2008: Taraweeh Prayers everyday after Salatul Isha. After the prayers a short talk will be given.

    Ramadan, 2008: Community Iftar dinner gathering will be held at the Masjid every Saturday (Sep 6, 13, 20 & 27). Everyone is welcome. Iftar donations will be collected by Brs. AbdulGhani, M Razzak and Sister Samina, Rabia & Adeela.

    Ramadan, 2008: Arrangements have been made for performing Itifa'k in the last ten days in the Masjid. Participants must inform the Masjid management for safety/security reasons.

    Ramadan, 2008: InshaAllah completion of the recitation of the Holy Quran will be performed on one of the Lailatul Qadr nights.

    Ramadan, 2008: Danbury Masjid will be opened through out the nights of Lailatul Qadr 21,23,25,27&29th Ramadan for individual ibadaat.

    Ramadan, 2008: Zakatul Fitrah this year is $8 per person. Generously send your tax-deductible charity donations, sadaqahs, Zakatul Mall, and Zakatul Fitrah to Danbury Masjid. Checks are payable to ISWC.

    Ramadan, 2008: Islamic School (Friday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday) will be closed for the entire month of Ramadan.

    August 31, 2008 (Tue): There were no authenticated reports of moonsighting anywhere in North America. The National Ulema & Astronomers Conference declared Ramadan will start on Tuesday, September 2nd.

    August 24, 2008 (Sun): Monthly Ijtima at Danbury Masjid. After Asr Salat at 6:30pm. Dinner will be served.

    August 16, 2008 (Sat): Nisaf Sha'baan will be the night of Saturday August 16. It is mustahabb (advisable) to keep fast on 15th Sha'baan (Sunday August,17).
